There are many chiropractic techniques available to a chiropractor in their efforts to adjust and restore proper joint activity within the body. The following are examples of some popular techniques utilized by Dr. Gorchynski:
- Manual Diversified
- Thompson Terminal Point
- Activator Methods
- Pearce-Stilwagon
- Torque Release
- Applied Kinesiology
- Upper Cervical Specific
Each activity within the clinic that a patient may experience is fully discussed and consent from the patient received even before the patient is examined. Before treatment, the doctor also explains and demonstrates the technique and methodology that will be involved in the adjustment process.
Dr. Gorchynski’s principle technique is the use of instrument adjusting known as Activator Methods. The instrument, mechanical or electrical, delivers a rapid, low-force that provides a specific and controlled adjustment to the area that is being adjusted. The examination process that indicates where the adjustment should be provided is the same for each patient, and an adjustment is provided only if the patient’s body indicates that one is necessary. The adjustment is gentle and skillfully administered, and most patients do not realize they have been adjusted because of the gentle nature of the technique. All people benefit from instrument adjusting, including newborns, children, students, adults and seniors, the only difference in each instance is an increase or decrease of instrument force, which is dependent upon the age and condition of the patient.
If necessary, the doctor may also employ the use of other, similarly gentle techniques, to assist if and when necessary.
